The MLA’s CIT has revised and updated two sets of early, important guidelines for scholars, students, and staff working with technology in the modern languages.
MLA’s Guidelines for Authors of Digital Resources are updated from a document first approved by the MLA Executive Council in 1999 as “Minimal Guidelines for Authors of Web Pages.” Likewise, substantially updated Guidelines for IT Access and Support for the Modern Languages are a revision of a thirteen-year-old set of “Guidelines for Institutional Support of and Access to IT for Faculty Members and Students.”
These revised documents join MLA’s essential Guidelines for Evaluating Work in Digital Humanities and Digital Media, first issued in 2002 and updated and approved by the CIT and MLA Executive Council last year.
