The Modern Language Association Convention is the largest single scholarly meeting in the humanities. Regularly meeting since 1883, the convention is a crossroads for developing new research, reporting on completed projects, and making professional connections.
For a number of years, the Committee on Information Technology has sponsored panels at the Convention that center on digital scholarship in languages and literature. At the same time, a substantial number of sessions devoted to digital humanities, new media, digital pedagogies, or the #altac movement have appeared during the Convention.
This section serves three purposes: first, it highlights CIT-sponsored panels at the upcoming convention. Second, it archives past CIT-sponsored panels at past conventions. Third, it provides a subjective list of panels related to digital humanities, new media, digital pedagogy, etc. and upcoming and past conventions.
